On October 12, 2024, I had the incredible honor of bringing live engraving to Sidney and David’s stunning wedding at the Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort, one of Scottsdale’s most iconic venues. This timeless, elegant celebration offered the perfect backdrop for introducing personalized glassware as a modern guest experience—and the response was unforgettable.

Elevating the Guest Experience with Live Engraving

From the moment the ceremony ended and guests began to flow into cocktail hour, my live engraving station was set up on the lush lawn just down the steps from the ceremony space. With drinks in hand and sweeping desert views all around, guests were invited to choose from an array of glassware—martini glasses, wine glasses, whiskey glasses, and coupe glasses—and have them engraved on-site with their names, initials, date or a word of their choice.

At first, there was a little curiosity, as guests weren’t quite sure what was happening. But as word spread, a line began to form. One guest, convinced it was machine-done, was completely floored when he realized I was engraving each piece by hand. “You have real talent,” he said with astonishment—a moment that stayed with me long after the event ended.

Throughout dinner and dancing, I continued personalizing glassware while my assistant carefully packaged each one into gift bags with tissue for guests to easily take home. The atmosphere was celebratory, warm, and full of meaning—exactly what you hope for when designing a luxury guest experience that feels both intentional and unforgettable.
